Sarah Elizabeth Ainsworth

Sarah Elizabeth Ainsworth, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born on March 10, 1942, in Florida and lived a life rich with resilience and dedication.

For over a decade, Sarah had a fulfilling career as a pipefitter at Ingalls Shipbuilding, where her technical skills and strong work ethic earned her the respect of her peers. Her contributions to the field were remarkable, and she took great pride in her work.

Sarah’s legacy continues through her loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Shelly Davis; her son, Bryan Ainsworth; her daughter-in-law, Cathy Ainsworth; and her siblings, Marsha Spenser, Linda Eddins, Linada Eddins, and Peggy Jones. Additionally, Sarah was a cherished grandmother to 22 grandchildren, each of whom will carry forward her spirit and values.

Sarah was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Roy Ainsworth, as well as her parents, Edward Stalls and Ollie Mae Carver. Their love and guidance shaped her life, and she often spoke fondly of the memories they shared.

Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed. Sarah's life was a testament to the importance of family and hard work, and she will be remembered with affection by all who knew her.
