Demario Sims was born on September 27, 2006 in Hattiesburg MS to Shakedria Mosley and Lonnie Sims Sr. Demario was the life of the party, always lighting up the room with his infectious smile. He earned his GED from Pearl River Community College and worked at KFC until his health began to decline. Despite his illness, Demario faced every challenge with strength and grace. No matter how sick he became, he never stopped smiling.
Preceded in Death
Demario was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Melody Sims; great-grandfathers, James C. Jaynes and James Sims; and maternal great-grandparents, Mary Patterson and Robert P. Mosley.
Survived By
Demario is lovingly remembered by his devoted mother, Shakedria Mosley, and his father, Lonnie Sims Sr.
He leaves behind three cherished brothers: Lonnie Sims Jr., Kaleb Newsome, and Javion Franklin, and one beloved sister, Jada Bolton.
He is also survived by his grandmother, Stacey Mosley Smith; grandfathers, Joe (Felicia) Hubbard Sr. and Lonnie Standley; and great-grandmothers, Ann Hubbard, Rosamae Standley and Shirley Sims.
Demario’s memory lives on through his four uncles: Joe Hubbard Jr., Kirkland (Needra) Hubbard, Christopher Sims, and Darius Sims; and five aunts: Nakeisha Mosley, Karmen Collins, Keyara Collins, Melenka Sims, and Meldria Sims.
He is also mourned by a host of great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Demario was deeply loved by all who knew him. His radiant smile and playful spirit brought joy to every room and will forever be remembered. He will truly be missed.
