Celebrating the Life of Deandera "Deede" Marie Clavo
Deandera "Deede" Marie Clavo was born on February 17, 1960, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Yvonne Greenwood Clavo (later Doucet) and Raymond Clavo. She was lovingly raised by her stepfather, Harold Doucet, whose guidance and love helped shape the remarkable woman she became. Deede was the only child.

She began her education in New Orleans, attending Gayarre Elementary School, Colton Middle School, and Francis T. Nicholls High School. After relocating to Bassfield, Mississippi, she attended Bassfield High School, where she proudly played basketball.

Deede was a visionary with a servant's heart who believed that helping people was one of life's greatest callings. For more than 20 years, she faithfully served as a Bail Bondsman with Pugh Bail Bonding Company, with her motto being:

"Call Jesus—He never fails. Call me—I will go your bail."

Her ministry reached far beyond the bonding business. She often helped individuals who could not afford bond, opened her home to those who had fallen on hard times, and always had an encouraging word for anyone who crossed her path. Through her leadership and advocacy, she also helped improve bonding guidelines in several Mississippi counties, making them more bondsman-friendly.

Committed to making a difference in her community, Deede later served as the District Three Election Commissioner for Jefferson Davis County, faithfully carrying out her duties. She also helped pave the way for future generations of leaders, including her daughter, Jurtyne Reimonenq Youngblood, who became the first Black female Justice Court Judge in Jefferson Davis County.

Beyond her service, Deede embraced life with joy. She loved shopping, enjoying good food, dancing, listening to and singing old-school music, talking about God, and filling every room with laughter. She believed in family, instilled strong values in those she loved, and had a special gift for making everyone feel seen, encouraged, and cared for.

Deede was the proud mother of 12 children, one of whom, Jada Hall, preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved 11 surviving children, affectionately known as her "Clavo Royalty": Tony A. Reimonenq Jr. (wife, Elizabeth), Jurtyne Reimonenq Youngblood, Devonda Curry (husband, Andre), Domonique Hendrix (husband, Kelvin), Torey H. Clavo, Thomas E. Buckley Jr., Tamika Buckley, Javaron D. Buckley (wife, Darla), Traevon Clavo, Jari Clavo, and John E. Sims Jr.

She also leaves behind 33 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of cherished cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her love, wisdom, laughter, and unwavering faith.

Deandera "Deede" Marie Clavo lived a life of purpose, compassion, and service. Her legacy will continue through every life she encouraged, every family she strengthened, and every person she inspired to trust God, help others, and never give up. Though she has gone from our sight, her love, laughter, and impact will remain in our hearts forever.
